"We were so amazed at how prepared and detail oriented she was and how well she worked with the movers, contractors, painters, electricians, local merchants and everyone she needed to manage in order to make our transition successful and as stress-free as possible."
"Since Adrienne Mascaro did such a great job on re-designing our 2,000 square foot townhome in California, we decided to ask her to oversee our move into our new 6,000 square foot house in Atlanta, Georgia."
- Art & Deb B.
2005-2006 Studio Blu was hired to design their 2,000 sq. ft. beach town home. The project was a combination of existing pieces that needed refurbishing. Studio Blu designed custom furniture, new draperies and made it work together.
A few years later they asked me if I would help them move to Atlanta and combine all the existing pieces that were recently purchased for the town home with items they had in storage from previous homes in Texas and Manhattan. All existing items as well as the new home in Atlanta were measured. Furniture plans were created in combination with FFE budget.
Before the client even moved in to their home in Atlanta, they had a clear understanding where everything would be placed on moving day. Since the home in Atlanta was a rental and client didn't know how long they would be living there, the budget and design time was limited. The husband wanted to keep the beach feel, which was light and casual but the bones of the home were very traditional with dark paint colors so there were many challenges for "making it work".
Washable kid friendly slip covers were made that gave the home a more casual tone. New paint colors, new lighting fixtures and new thrift store finds made for a great transitional look. It doesn't get better than Atlanta when it comes to antique-ing! The result was a home that worked for my clients lifestyle and budget. Client was happy and hired me again summer 2012 to decorate their current home.
